Trace It All Back To Ernest - #ErnTry21

Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl so much, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.

This is the true love story of Tracy and Ernest, so join us on this thrilling love journey, as we “Trace it all back to Ernest.” #TraceItAllBackToErnest.

Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale. This is my fairy tale, it may seem unreal but every word in this story is as real as the shining sun that breaks the dawn and births unto us a beautiful brand new day.

I was born in Koforidua in the Eastern region of Ghana, and so was Tracy. Honestly, we met even before Tracy was born. Like in the story of Jesus Christ and John the Baptist, when I was born, Tracy’s mother came over to visit my mom.

She admired me and prayed that God would grant her a beautiful bouncy baby boy like me. But as fate would have it, the universe had planned for me to baptize Tracy in holy matrimony, I being John the-baptize and Tracy my Jesus Christ, my savior to save me from life’s lonely aisle.

We became close friends ever since she was born and we have not swayed from that course since.

However, at age 6, I left Koforidua to live with my Dad at Tema, in the Greater Accra. For me, I thought that was the end of our friendship but God had other plans. I would occasionally go to Koforidua and on each occasion, I endeavored to see Tracy before I left.

I started having feelings for Tracy when I was in Senior High School, at Pope Johns SHS, indeed, she became the brightest star in my galaxy. Nonetheless, my occasional visits grew fewer and the distance between us became a vast space that the milky-way and all the galaxies in the universe and multiverse could not fill up. Days turned to years, and time flew by.

On one fateful day, while I was in a car on my way to work, pondering over my life and future, I slipped into a trance. In the trance, my spirit was carried back to Koforidua, and I heard a man in a deep voice speak out saying, “the person you are to spend your future with is not a stranger.”

At this statement, only one name came to mind, and I said it out loud, “Tracy!” then the man smiled at me. I believe it was God.

I snapped out of the trance and immediately started searching through my phone to see if I would find her contact, but all my efforts were to no avail.

I then went on Facebook and sent her a message, to which she immediately replied, and the galactic distance that had riddled us for so long crumbled down and paved the way for my brightest star to shine bright in my galaxy.

At this time, she had traveled to the UK for holidays, but we kept in touch until she arrived in Ghana. When she arrived, we remained good friends and strengthened the bond between us. Like the Prodigal son returning home, I kept her close to me, closer than my shadow; her contact was number one on my speed dial, her thoughts dominated my mind, her name stuck on my lips, and I could see her beautiful face anytime I closed my eyes. We went on several outings and we hanged out a lot during that time.

Eventually, on August 14, 2018, on one of our dates, I told her that I felt something good was coming my way, and she told me she felt the same. On that date, we both opened up and with honesty we shared the mutual admiration we had for each other.

We weren’t in a church and there was no Priest, but it was confession time and I mentioned that I feel I have found my wife, which was her, and she also said she has found her husband, which she revealed was me.

On this same day, I amorously and carefully unveiled the magical question and she gave me a sweet, emphatic Yes!

From that day till today, she has been my joy and happiness, my bible study mate, my prayer tower, my best friend, gossip partner, my teacher, my health coach, my soon to be Dr. (Ph.D), and my true love.

Proverbs 31: 10 couldn’t have explained it better, undoubtedly, a good wife is hard to find.

Truly I have searched hard and meticulously, but I have found her and I thank God every day for this extremely magnanimous and boundless gift of Tracy coming back to Ernest.

Now I can confidently say that the real definition of true love is indeed Tracing It Back To Ernest.
